This is a lovely set, very unusual in having a tea caddy. A set of almost identical form and style is in the collection of the Museum of the City of New York (see Elegant Plate: Three Centuries of Precious Metals in New York City, no 221, p. 388). Joel Sayre worked in New York City and in Easthampton, Long Island.
