An Early American Coffee Pot
New York, c. 1760, by Daniel C. Feuter
Height: 11 7/8", Weight: 35 oz. 14 dwt.
This remarkable pot is nearly identical to the great
example made by Myer Myers for Samuel Johnson, the founder of King’s College in New York (now Columbia). Feuter and Myers were known to have had close business ties, and it is possible that they purchased finished
articles from each other in the course of business.
