A Superb Charles II Porringer & Stand 
The porringer unmarked, the stand marked for
London 1679, maker's mark IA
Diameter of Salver: 9 3/4", Weight: 49 oz.

Provenance: Donated by the Sanderson Family of Reasby Hall, Reasby, Lincolnshire to St. John’s Church, Stainton-by-Langworth, Lincolnshire, many years ago. Recently sold by the church.

The arms are those of Sanderson. The best known member of the
family, Robert Sanderson, was the Bishop of Lincoln from 1660-1663.

These pieces display the exquisite color and condition often
found on items preserved in churches.
